Privacy Notice — codex resets

How codex resets handles email subscriptions, browser preferences, analytics, and anti-abuse data.

What data does the site use?

You can read the public tracker without subscribing. This notice describes the current application’s data handling; it does not claim that the site or its providers collect no technical data.

  • Email alerts: if you subscribe, the application stores your email address, language, subscription status, timestamps, confirmation/session records, and delivery records. Cloudflare D1 stores these records; Resend processes outgoing email.
  • Browser preferences: local storage remembers your theme, time-zone mode, and local “beg” count. A language cookie remembers the selected locale.
  • Abuse prevention and feedback: the application derives hashed identifiers from request IP addresses, and for challenge voting also the user-agent. Counters and votes use these identifiers; the “beg” feature can display a country code provided by Cloudflare. Hashing is not a guarantee of anonymity.

Cookies & analytics

Confirming an email subscription creates an HTTP-only session cookie lasting up to 30 days. The language cookie is set for up to one year. Browser local-storage preferences remain until cleared.

When Google Analytics is enabled, it measures visits to allowlisted public pages and two email-form interaction events. The application removes URL queries and fragments from page-view data, excludes subscription-confirmation pages, and does not attach email addresses to those events. Google’s script may use cookies and process technical request information. Google Signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in the application configuration.

Unsubscribing & retention

Use the unsubscribe link in an email to stop further reset alerts. Unsubscribing cancels pending email deliveries and deletes related confirmation and session records, but it does not erase the subscriber record or previous delivery history.

Confirmation links expire after 24 hours; sessions expire after 30 days. Expired records are cleaned during subscription flows. The application does not currently implement a fixed automatic deletion schedule for subscriber, delivery, or feedback history. For a data request, check the available site-contact information.

Service providers & your controls

Cloudflare hosts the site and handles requests, Resend delivers subscription emails, and Google provides analytics when configured. Their processing and retention are covered by their own notices:

You can clear browser cookies and local storage or use browser controls to block analytics. Clearing a session cookie does not unsubscribe your email address. Following an external source link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices.
